I have worked as office manager for Comox Valley Midwifery the past 10 plus years and am excited to make the transition with them to Cedar House Midwives. I completed my training to become a legal assistant at Camosun College in 2000. Island born and raised in the Comox Valley I returned home in 2004 and shortly after became a part of this amazing team of women.
I am a mother to three beautiful children, two boys and a girl. After my second was born into hands of a midwife I knew I loved everything this model of care offered. As well as my daily office duties of the clinic I also enjoy being a part of the journey with our many families as they welcome their sweet new beings into this world.
Monday baby group is the highlight of my week. There is no better way to start your Monday than with newborn snuggles and sweet baby breath. Referred to by some as the baby-whisperer, I am more than happy to hold your little bundle while you enjoy a cup of tea or plate of snacks hands-free. I love the community and connections I see forming in the group and the invaluable supports shared in the early postpartum days and weeks, no one gets it better than another sleep deprived mama with sore leaky boobs. It truly takes a village.
In my time off you can find me playing with my two youngest children and our dog under the tall cedars in the many forests trails, camping, treasure hunting along the beaches and lakes, in my gardens in my childhood seaside home or crafting and creating.
I look forward to meeting you in the clinic and working with you and your family in your pregnancy journey.
